We recently learnt of the upcoming launch of the first 100% Spanish rocket by the private company PLD Space, and we couldn’t be prouder to have helped transport materials for them.

PLD Space is a Spanish company founded in Alicante in 2011, which aims to become Europe’s first private ‘space’ transport company, with plans to eventually carry up to 1 metric tonne of payload into space.

The ‘Miura 1’ rocket, with a capacity of up to 100 kg, will serve as a test; if all goes well, the ‘Miura 5’ will be launched in 2024, capable of transporting more than 300 kg of cargo beyond orbit.

At the time, we were involved in several shipments of fragile materials for PLD Space to and from their facilities in Teruel.

Challenges

To meticulously transport fragile materials that were required within a precise timeframe.

Type of Transport

Direct and express delivery service: the cargo was transported directly, without being handled or unloaded at any logistics warehouse, exactly as it was collected from the customer; this ensured that the cargo remained in the same condition upon final delivery as it was when collected.

Type of Goods

Storage solutions and aerospace equipment.

Achievements

  • Taking responsibility for transporting fragile goods correctly and in perfect condition.
  • Meeting customer expectations by delivering on time.
